Since its creation in 1986, the UCSI Education group has weathered many storms and known much success. As a result, today UCSI is recognised as a provider of academic and entrepreneurial excellence in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region. In 2008, UCSI was officially conferred the status of University by the Government of Malaysia, a rare honour for a private education establishment.  To sustain the group’s growth, Chairman and founder Peter Ng led both the top management and staff of the UCSI Education Group to embrace Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) in their everyday work.

 

On September 6th 2006, our belief in the tools, frameworks and theory of Blue Ocean Strategy led to the organisation of the First National Conference with Professor W. Chan Kim, co-author of the book Blue Ocean Strategy and in June 2008, the UCSI Education Group entered into a groundbreaking agreement with the Blue Ocean Strategy-Initiative Centre (BOSIC), UK, resulting in the creation of the UCSI Blue Ocean Strategy Regional Centre (UCSI-BOSRC). In October 2008, the first BOS workshop was successfully held by one of our certified BOS practitioners at the UCSI Blue Ocean Strategy Hall. Ever since, BOS has spread to many other organisations and companies though seminars, workshops, training programs and consulting projects conducted by our qualified practitioners. Many other partnerships have been founded between UCSI-BOSRC and leading companies to disseminate BOS practice worldwide and create blue oceans of uncontested market space.

 

THE REGIONAL NETWORKS

UCSI-BOSRC is the Official Regional Representative of Blue Ocean Strategy Businesses and has the Exclusive Regional License in Malaysia, Australia, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. Each country office is headed by a Country Manager who, working in tandem with BOS certified consultants, are passionate to equip companies, organizations, and individuals to apply BOS in creating uncontested market space with strong profitable growth.

 

THE LOCATION

UCSI-BOSRC is housed in the North Wing campus of the UCSI University grounds. She will be the regional hub to impart the principles and application of BOS. An applied research centre has also been set up to better enhance and enlarge the scope and relevancy of BOS in its concepts, tools and frameworks to various industry sectors.
